What’s Included in a sq/ft Price For Quartz Tops?

Your sq/ft price from Village Home Stores includes template, fabrication, and installation of your tops. You may choose from an Eased, 1/2 Round, or Ogee standard edges. There will be no added installation charge, this is an installed price and includes a template to confirm correct dimensions for your countertops.  A standard undermount sink opening and faucet drilling are also included. Undermount sinks are recommended for quartz countertop installations because they give you a clean look that is easy to wipe clean from surface to the sink. Undermount sinks come in a variety of materials and design. For kitchen sink inspiration check out this ideabook we made on our Houzz page. Your salesperson at Village Home Stores will partner with our Quartz fabrication shop to communicate the sink model and faucet locations you have selected so that they can install your purchased sink to the tops at installation.

What Isn’t Included in The Price?

Cooktops, slide-in ranges, additional sinks, additional faucet holes, and outlet cut-outs available at an upcharge. This installed price does not include plumbing hook-up of sink or faucets. You must provide a drawing with measurements and a layout for a quote. All we need are a few basic measurements from you to quote you a price for your counters. Don’t worry, this is NOT what is used to fabricate your countertops. It is just enough information to answer our questions and get you an accurate sq.ft. quote for your space.

While this is an installed price, the removal of your existing tops must be arranged before template and installation dates. This can be quoted to you upon request. Existing countertops must be removed before template date. Once your template date has been arranged, you can expect just a one week turnaround time for your countertops! While we understand that being without countertops and a sink is an inconvenience, we have worked hard to narrow this timeframe down to a single week to help. If it is determined that an overhanging area of quartz surface requires support brackets, they can be quoted to you for an additional charge. We have many quartz countertop surfaces installed in our showroom displays as well as samples of each of these promo-priced options. Bluegrass, Iowa Kitchen Remodel With Warm Woods and Black & Gold Accents

The warmth of a wood stained kitchen is always an inviting look for a design. We absolutely love how these Bluegrass, Iowa clients took their modern eclectic tastes and translated them with their designer at Village Home Stores into a kitchen. This new design suites the style of the home while still reflecting an updated look. Maple Dura Supreme Cabinetry in the “Kendall” door and “Clove” stain have been accented with a “Black” accent paint on the edges and details.

The mix of warm woods and views of the Iowa countryside out of the windows evoke a connection with nature. Another wonderful natural connection of bringing the outdoors in is the use of natural stone countertops. Natural stone is a fantastic surface choice and a material that is timeless and rich in history. In this kitchen we installed Granite counters in the Makala Bay color.

As much as quartz companies can attempt it, never can you recreate the natural character and unique opportunity you have to invest in natural stone for your project. Having a large island top like this is a great way to showcase the natural variations in colors, materials, and veining that natural stones offer. This kitchen design includes a corner sink with granite plant shelf that looks out two windows. Ask a Village designer if your space allows for a corner sink design. We love the lighting selections made for this kitchen. The pendant light fixture above the kitchen sink makes a statement without blocking the light and view outside. Textured seedy glass on this “Stone” pendant light from Capital Lighting adds texture and style to the space.

The kitchen includes accents of dark bronze, matte black, and even some brushed gold. The cabinet hardware is the “Highland Ridge” series from our Amerock line. Black appliances we also used in this design and they perfectly complement the Black painted accent glaze on the surrounding cabinet doors and drawers.

With the natural granite counters as a focal point of the overall look, a more subtle wall tile was desired. We installed 3″ x 6″ “Highland Park” Subway Tiles in the Antique White color to compliment the background colors of the granite slabs. The full wall of tile look so clean because we tucked all of the wall switches and outlets up underneath the cabinetry!

This unique modular track system is from our legrand line. It as so many incredible accessories now available including bluetooth speakers, phone charging stations, tablet docks, and more! The best thing is how versatile this system is. All of these components including the outlets can be moved as needed! A single-step way to update any space is by changing out the light fixture! As we were working on this kitchen remodel we also selected new light fixtures for other areas of the home. We love the new dinette light that was selected just off the kitchen. This modern take on a classic brass chandelier compliments the home and the new kitchen style. The “Zander” light by Capital Lighting (shown below) is available in many sizes.

Mixed metals is a continued trend for all home interior categories. We see it in kitchen designs, home accessories, and fixtures like lighting. The formal dining room in this home now has the “Kearney” 5 light chandelier from our Savoy House line. This fixture is a blend of Vintage Black and Warm Brass finishes. This room at our local community center (see above) needed the option for a blackout shade when they host some fun classes that use blacklights and music. Now those classes can be offered any time of day!
