Since 1984, Village Home Stores has worked hard to create a shopping experience that can help our customers outfit their homes with quality fixtures and craftsmanship from a trusted team of experts. We are a one-stop-shop and in 2015, we added custom window blinds and shades to our lineup. Now the same quality and expert help our customers have come to expect from Village Home Stores is available for homeowners and businesses looking to add functional and stylish window coverings.
Has been awhile since you last stopped in? Perhaps you are just hearing of our store recently? We offer many departments of products all under one roof. Many of our longtime customers are surprised when they stop by and see our showroom to find we now offer flooring and window coverings as well. We have installed product in so many great homes and businesses over the past few years and we wanted to check in with an updated blog post to let you know we have something for everyone! Here are some examples of what window covering options we carry:
What Categories of Blinds and Shades Do We Offer?
Woven Wood Blinds
Fabric Roman Shades
Sliding Panel Verticals
Anti-Glare Mylar Shades
Arched and Angled Valances
Transitions Shades & More!
The most asked about style of shades are still our Transitions. These unique shades are designed with contrasting solid and sheer horizontal panels that can be left overlapping for a striped look, or staggered for complete coverage. We now have hundreds and hundreds of color and style options in this category including wider panels and Ombre designs (shown above) that give your windows an updated and stylish new look while complimenting your space and furnishings. Of course cordless options remain to be one of the most requested for those with young children or customers just wanting a cleaner, sleeker look. We can also add motorized remote features to your window blinds and shades!
Imagine those hard-to-reach treatments being operable and adding the ability to automate and connect your blinds and shades to your smart home tech. Want to sleep in on lazy Sunday? Hit that snooze button, grab your remote, and drop down those blackout linings! We love the look of a shade with or without light filtering through! Shown below: woven wood without lining layer pulled.
Think you have a tricky shape, space or need? There are so many great options we can add to your blinds and shades. Cutouts, multiple shades in one headrail, linings, trim, and more! Expertly measured, ordered, and installed in your home. Our customers love the versatility of our Transitions style shades but there is another versatile option you may want to consider. If the look of the overlapping Transitions shades are too Contemporary in style for you, consider a “Top Down Bottom Up” treatment. This is another great feature for those looking to customize their privacy and light options for a window. Press play below to see a example.
Want Blackout or Privacy Features?
Ask a window expert at Village Home Stores about your option to add blackout or privacy to your window covering. We can add lining to the shades themselves, or we have many options and can even add operable lining that can be raised or lowered behind the shade. This allows you the versatility to filter out some or all of the light and gain that privacy or the darkroom setting you may need from time to time.
This room at our local community center (see above) needed the option for a blackout shade when they host some fun classes that use blacklights and music. Now those classes can be offered any time of day!

At Village Home Stores we love the continued momentum of the “Farmhouse” trend because in our area we have a lot of actual farmhouses we get to design for! Really the Midwest style of “Traditional” has always lent itself to a Farmhouse look because of our love of rustic and reclaimed materials. Pair that with varied woods and textures, and incorporating antiques and found objects into the spaces and we have been Farmhouse style around here long before anyone knew who Chip and Johanna were. Take a look at this completed kitchen remodel in a local Kewanee, IL farmhouse (sorry, cute cat not included with kitchen design “purr”chase).
This Koch Classic kitchen features the “Westbrook” doorstyle with a painted “Taupe” finish on the perimeter and the rich, “Java” stain on the kitchen island. An Ebony accent glaze has been applied to the taupe paint to highlight some of the great door and drawer details plus the added moldings and hood elements we have included in the design. Wine storage can be decorative and functional! Two X-shaped wine cubby cabinets crown the top of the refrigerator installed against a wall on one side, and a finished end panel to the other.
This refrigerator may look built-in like a counter-depth unit, but note the depth change from the nearby cabinet and counter. This is a full-depth KitchenAid french door fridge given this built-in look by designing with a deeper refrigerator end panel. Another detail keeping with a clean look is the lack of water dispenser on the door. No worries for the thirsty! This model has an interior water dispenser in the top section and icemaker in the freezer. On that same refrigerator wall is the cooking zone of the kitchen design. A front-control 5-burner gas range with convection sits below a wood hood.
Take a look at how great this “Westbrook” cabinet style looks as a door and drawer. Made even more beautiful accented with that Ebony glaze. The wood hood cabinet was ordered to match the kitchen cabinetry. A shallow shelf and detailed brackets complete the look. In any great cooking zone there needs to be ample ventilation. Tucked up into the hood cabinet is a 390 CFM range hood blower by Broan.
“Ivory Classico” Tumbled Travertine tiles in a 3″ x 6″ size are installed in the main backsplash area as a bricklay pattern. In the accent area above the cooktop, the same tile is installed in a herringbone pattern. A 3/4″ wide pencil rail tile in the “Wrought Iron” color frames in the accent space. Our surface experts at Village Home Stores will work with you to help you select the right tile, layout and installation design for your space.
Engineered quartz counters in a mixed pattern named “Bedrock” blends all of the finishes from the open concept kitchen into one surface color. A standard Eased edge profile has been applied and no quartz backsplash has been installed to allow the full 18″ high distance to feature the Travertine tiles. This kitchen looks out into a large living room and has access to the stairwell for a lower level as well as the hallway and front entry to the home. The flooring is a major surface selection to make in any open great room space like this.
With the cabinetry being a blend of a rich dark stain and a Taupe painted color, the Engineered Hickory selected is a beautiful compliment to both. These 7″ wide planks are from our Canoe Bay line in the Key West Series and “Casa Marina” color. We love the warm gray range in colors and it pairs perfectly with rustic barnwood furniture and accessories in the home.
There is great storage in this kitchen design including a large pantry cabinet fit with slideout shelving. Pantry cabinets can only be efficient if they offer you accessible storage space. Access the front AND back of your pantry by including deep slideout shelves like this. We can add these adjustable shelves to any deep cabinet space you want to have easier access to. Large and deep drawer storage is located at the center of the kitchen island.
Two large drawers offer up great pots and pans storage for the cooking zone it faces. Another drawer for baking pans and cookie sheets is located beneath the built-in KitchenAid microwave. A pull out wastebasket cabinet is on the opposite end of the kitchen island with a location that is within reach of the cooking, prep and kitchen cleanup zones of the design.
This island at the center of the kitchen design offers a large, single-height surface with an overhang for counter-height stool seating. A subtle arch to the overhang area ads interest and softens the look of the large quartz slab. 4 stools and two outlets tuck underneath the island overhang. Above the island are two pendant lights. These Capital pendant lights are around 12″ in size and keep the space feeling light and airy with a water glass textured shade.
The largest statement made in this home from our lighting department wasn’t even a light! This 60″ windmill fan from Quorum is a showroom display favorite and in this home it is so perfect! Oil-Rubbed Bronze metal finishes and a gray weathered wood stain on the blades. We are a “big fan” of this look and it comes in many sizes! Shop our lighting and fans online, anytime at villagehomestores.com or contact a member of our lighting staff to get some guidance for the right fixture perfect for your style and budget.
If you would like to see more photos and details from this farmhouse remodel including more lighting, this great room, and even some bathroom inspiration be sure to check out the full album posted to our Houzz profile. We provided lighting throughout this farmhouse remodel including our bestselling LED Diode tape lighting for the kitchen and a post-lighted entrance for the driveway (shown below).

This kitchen in East Moline, IL has a whole new look and layout. We removed a dividing wall to make room for more natural light and an island design with counter-height seating. Warm, Rustic Beech Koch Cabinetry in the Seneca door and Briarwood stain has been accented with a Black glaze. The mixed metals of copper, Oil-Rubbed Bronze and Black Stainless look amazing. Plus check out the bright statement with that island accent lighting (more on that later)! We absolutely love how this kitchen turned out.
The original kitchen was very nice, but the layout of the cabinetry was awkward and secluded from the front room. This made it a great candidate for a wall removal remodel. Not every kitchen we remodel needs a wall removed to be incredible. In this home however, having the entire space open now seems like that is what the layout should have been all along. In this kitchen we removed a wall and soffit during the remodel process to achieve that open concept. Take a look at the original soffits and dividing wall between the living room and kitchen shown in the before photo below.
What is The Village Process Like?
If you are looking to remodel your kitchen anytime soon you are in the right place! This blog can be such a useful place to find inspiration and help qualify your own likes and dislikes. We hope that Village Home Stores can be a part of your research process AND your remodel process. Are you just seeking products and ideas and to do the remodel work yourself? That’s great! Village Home Stores can provide you with an expertly prepared design and quality materials for you to DIY to your hearts content. But if you don’t have the time or skill to do that, our start-to-finish Project Management process may be the perfect fit for your timeline and your budget. What do we mean when we say our remodel customers can have us manage their job from “start-to-finish” ? It means that from the very first time you message us online or stop by, we are working for you and with you to get you into your finished space. No matter who is doing the remodel work, your first step is the same: just reach out to our team to schedule a Complementary Consultation.
We schedule these consultations in our showroom before visiting your home so that you can get a better understanding of everything we offer and we are able to walk you through our estimating phases. Most people will only remodel a kitchen or bathroom in a home once or twice in a lifetime. It can be overwhelming to know where to start and what happens next. The great news is that we do this all the time! We are here to help walk you through our process and keep you on track and on budget. We want to help you to enjoy this process as much as possible. During this Consultation we will answer your questions and walk you through when you can expect to see your designs and estimates during our phases and discuss our payment options. We will also ask you some questions about the project, your goals, your budget, and who will be doing the work. There is a reason why budget conversations happen well before we begin estimating the project. This is to help us all stay on task and on track when designing your new space. After this Consultation, we will schedule a date for a Jobsite Visit in your home to gather information for us to begin the design phase.
Sometimes Our Biggest Skeptics Become Our Best Cheerleaders
Do you read every detail of a menu item before ordering at a restaurant? Do you answer “of course” when asked if you want your receipt? Did you already take general dimensions of your kitchen layout for us… on graph paper… and use a ruler? Do you have an engineering degree? Does your Summer Vacation this year have a customized itinerary? Have you started a spreadsheet for your remodel project already in Excel or Google Docs? If you answered yes to any of those questions then wow! You love the details and you respect the process! And guess what? You are going to be a HUGE fan of the Village Home Stores remodel process. We love the look on this type of customer’s face when we present our process checklists and walk them through our current and local budget data for projects like theirs. Some of our most appreciative start-to-finish customers are people who could have even done some of the work themselves. But who has the time or energy? We do!
Let Us Get To Work For You
There is a lot to be done before you can enjoy your new space and gathering estimates is a big part of that. The truth is there are 3 and a half pages of phases and checklists before we even reach the phrase “Jobsite binder is delivered and job begins” in our process. There are 9 phases of our process and 7 of those happen before we begin demo. We won’t reveal every phase in detail here but we can summarize them a bit. After that Complimentary Consultation in our showroom we will come out to your home to gather information. Then we will get to work preparing a design to be presented to you. Our goal is to ask enough qualifying questions ahead of the design phase that we can present to you initial designs that are successful. We will next discuss any changes needed to the design and begin making product selections in the showroom. During this Design Presentation meeting in the showroom we will also have you meet with other Village team members in any departments you may need products from. During this meeting we will document you selections and help guide you based on our budget conversations. You will also be given private login information at this meeting so that you can begin to access your design, estimates, and eventually contracts and schedules moving forward. Once all of the work to be done is documented by our team, and we have a clear design concept, we can schedule a Contractor Meeting at your home.
All of the subcontractors we anticipate needing for your project will meet your village designer and our project estimator in your home. All together at the same time. Sounds like an obvious need right? But you would be surprised how rare this is in our industry. At Village Home Stores we believe it is a key element to a successful estimating and end result for all parties involved. Here we can clarify what work is to be completed and included in estimates and allow the subs to have some dialog about the work to be done.
Our start-to-finish Project Management program at Village Home Stores changes and adapts with every project. We have also worked hard to curate a list of reliable, respectful subcontractors who can do quality work for you at a fair price. It has taken some time to get there, but we truly believe we can now say with confidence that our in-house and subcontractor staff are the very best you can ask to work in your home. We are so thankful to continue to get compliments on our staff and the subcontractors we send to our clients’ homes.
What Will An Estimate Include?
But we haven’t mentioned an actual bid or pricing yet? That’s right! We have agreed on a design, selected materials with our experts and your budget in mind, and have detailed estimates for the work to be done and now we can present you an estimate. You will receive a complete estimate along with a detailed inclusion sheet of the work included in that estimate. This estimate will be as accurate as possible before work begins. Of course there can be unforeseeable issues to come up any time you remodel a home. Rest assured that we have a process for that as well. Our crews are used to working together and communicating with you and each other to come up with solutions when problems come up. During your project our team stay customer-focused and solution-focused if issues arise.
Enough about our process! Let us show you around this incredible new kitchen in East Moline, IL. What a warm and open space! This new cabinet layout is packed with great storage and details. Glazzio glass wall tiles in two sizes with an accent listel in an Oil Rubbed Bronze finish cover the kitchen walls. A L-shaped layout with large center island includes plenty of walkway space between the surfaces now that the kitchen wall has been removed. We also removed that kitchen soffit and reworked the ceiling to better compliment the rest of the open areas of the home. The new design truly suits the home perfectly!
With a new flow to the entire space, flooring needed to be a new consistent surface throughout. Once again we are sharing a kitchen with our best-selling COREtec Luxury Vinyl Plank floors here on the blog. Sorry to sound like a broken record repeating itself but this COREtec Plus HD series is extremely durable and waterproof. It has the look and texture of a rustic wood surface. The Barnwood Rustic Pine selected for this kitchen is a great choice to pull from the cabinet stain and accent glaze. We just had two new racks of samples delivered for this product so if you are considering a new flooring surface for your home please come see your options. But can we take a moment please and talk about this lighted island!?!?!
This customer chose to install their Cambria Quartz in the Berkley design in a double-thick edge profile on the island. WOW! When they made that accent choice, the homeowner thought that accenting it even more with some lighting could make for a very cool effect. He was right! The look is pretty stunning day and night. This low-profile low-voltage tape light can be installed in a lot of fun ways. Because it is low-voltage, this island accent light can become the perfect nightlight or glow in the evening while watching TV or spending time out on the wrap-around deck.
The same Diode tape light is also installed underneath and above the kitchen perimeter cabinetry. We even concealed something else underneath the cabinets to keep the look clean. All of the kitchen switches and outlets are located in the recessed area under the wall cabinetry. This keeps the wall tile area smooth and un-interrupted. The Cambria quartz on the kitchen perimeter was installed with a farmhouse hammered copper Sinkology single-well sink and Delta Leland faucet.
This Delta Leland faucet comes with the new ShieldSpray Technology. This diverted spray option delivers a simple way to clean with precision while containing mess and splatter. A concentrated jet of water powers stubborn messes away in the center as a water shield simultaneously contains splatter and clears off the mess. It is like a forcefield around the spray power that keeps water from spraying everywhere. Learn more about ShieldSpray and see it in action here in this short YouTube clip.
Mixing metal finishes and textures can be such a great look in a rustic-styled space. This kitchen includes Oil Rubbed Bronze hardware, lighting, and faucets and a blend of Copper and Stainless. The farmsink is a hammered copper finish and the unique 30″ Zline hood is a mix of smooth copper and black trim. KitchenAid appliances in the Black Stainless finish add drama and a soft texture. If a silvery Stainless seems like it will look too modern in your space, be sure to stop by and see Black Stainless in person! This finish is so versatile and available in a lot of models. We did include on Stainless appliance in the kitchen. Tucked unto the interior corner of the island is a microwave drawer in a true Stainless Steel finish. Mixing metals can be done right and we love the look! Let our team help you with the total vision for your design.
Did you know we sell AND service appliances in the entire extended Quad Cities Region? We have an expert appliance sales and service team and offer competitive pricing to box stores. A great kitchen design comes together in the details. Undercabinet molding helps to conceal those lights and outlets. Small details can make a big difference in the look of the overall finished space. In this kitchen the wall tile continues up around the kitchen window and is “capped” off by a valance and matching wooden panel above. The crown molding for the cabinetry has added interest with a change in depth on the corner cabinet.
Want to see more of this kitchen and save ideas for your own project? Check out the full album of photos here on our Best of Houzz-winning profile. We have so much more to show you in this kitchen that we have decided to include it in an upcoming episode of the Village Home Show. That way you can see more in detail the space and our process of getting to this finished look. We hope to have new episodes finished by the end of this Summer and you are going to really get more of a peek at our remodel process because we truly have filmed this one from start to finish. We are so thankful that these customers reached out to us after watching our show and now we get to feature their own story on an episode! Will yours be next?

Spring has sprung and that means the world outside of our windows is getting more vibrant and colorful again! But who says you can’t have a splash of color inside? Not these fun customers in Prophetstown, Illinois who used pops of a a coastal blue throughout their new kitchen design from Village Home Stores. Bright white cabinets, a creative flood of natural light, bold accent tile, and island cabinetry create a unique but classic look. Take a quick blog tour with us as we show you this kitchen design from Village Home Stores.
Kitchen cabinetry from our Dura Supreme line in the Craftsman Beaded doorstyle is painted a bright “White” finish. A farmhouse sink and full-overlay beaded doors with sections cut for glass inserts help serve a Coastal and Cottage style to the perimeter of the kitchen. Stainless Steel appliances and bright, polished chrome keep the metal finishes light and airy.
Accent punches of blue color in the tile and kitchen island splash life into the kitchen. Adding warmth to the space is a wood look plank floor from our best-selling COREtec line of Luxury Vinyl Plank shown in the Shadow Lake Driftwood color and Plus HD series. Look how much variation and texture the floor has is in these photos! This product is something you truly must see and touch in person. If you are looking for a wood look but want a durable, hassle-free option for a busy household, COREtec may just be the perfect surface for you. Once installed, this interlocking Luxury Vinyl Plank is 100% waterproof making it perfect for kids, pets, or even adults who need something opps-proof!
Stop by the Village Home Stores showroom to see the many examples and samples of COREtec flooring surfaces available. Are you in the research process of a kitchen remodel or wanting to build soon? Selecting a style of cabinet door may seem overwhelming at first but sometimes simple is better! A smooth, flat-panel and beaded doorstyle can be a great option for many styles of spaces. This same beaded door shown in a wood finish can lend itself to a Craftsman style. Painted white, it can compliment many styles from Farmhouse to Cottage.
The cabinetry in this kitchen design stretches all the way to the ceiling and have a stacked appearance to the wall cabinets. Notice the straight cornice-style molding detail we included above the wall cabinets. In place of an arched crown molding, this look is a more Contemporary look. If your personal tastes lean towards a Mid-Century Modern style, put a pin in this crown detail. The cooking zone wall of this kitchen includes a wall oven area and gas cooktop with hood that faces the kitchen island. The bold, blue tile is installed horizontally and staggered all the way to the ceiling behind the hood.
Elongated beveled tiles in a bold “Azura” blue are eye-catching and exciting in the kitchen design. This Adamas series from our Stonepeak Ceramic line is available in a full complement of colors. Adamas is a match to all of StonePeak’s collections so you can mix and match to create a tile design as unique as you. Imagine this same tile installed stacked instead of staggered for a more modern look. Or perhaps match the grout color to the tile color? You have so many options! Our tile team at Village Home Stores will help you come up with a completed and installed look that is just right for your tastes and your budget.
The cooktop wall includes a chimney-style hood, pot-filler wall faucet, and symmetrical wall cabinets with glass sections above. LED tape lighting is installed on the interior of the wall cabinets flanking the range hood. This frames in the focal point of the kitchen and helps to mimic the natural light found on the neighboring wall. On the sink wall our kitchen designer was able to naturally create a lighted clerestory look by designing this section to be open behind the doors. Faceframes, doors, and paneling build out an area that lets light pour in from the transom windows behind them.
Above the kitchen farmsink is a lighted plate rack. This kitchen was photographed before the new Hazelwood Homes clients had moved in so you will have to imagine that plate rack full of plates (we are guessing colorful ones). Another interesting element to this finished space are the Cambria Quartz counter surfaces. The “Summerhill” design is a blend of beachy neutrals with warm and gray tones. A great way to compliment the flooring choice and white cabinetry.
A “Small Ogee” edge profile was applied around the quartz. This added detail helps showcase the depth of colors in the top and let the light reflect off of the countertop edges. Cambria Quartz is a maintenance-free counter surface that is foodsafe and non-porous. That makes it resistant to staining and a fantastic worksurface for an island surface like this. Learn more about Camria Quartz and our trip to their manufacturing facilities in Minnesota here in a recent blog post. This large kitchen island boasts large worksurface but also a lot of added storage below. This blue painted finish is named “Gale Force” and is available on all paintable items from our Dura Supreme line.
Full-height doors span the length of the island and at the end closest to the kitchen sink, a pull-out wastebasket cabinet. We love the design of Dura Supreme’s wastebasket cabinets. Instead of a top mount for the bin to slide into, the bins drop snugly into a lower cabinet base. This makes changing the bags more sanitary and easier. Double bin designs are also available to make sorting recyclables easy. We also included adjustable slideout shelves behind the doors of these cabinets making them available for versitiel storage.
Looking to create a kitchen, bathroom, or home bar space that is as unique as you? We can’t wait to hear about it! Building or remodeling our team can;t wait to get started on a design perfect for your tastes and budget. Best-selling products don’t just get selected by our sales team, customers decide what they are. What you recommend to your close friends and family is out of our hands and typically those conversations happen outside of our store. One of our favorite phrases to hear from a new customer is “A friend of mine told me about your…” This could be in reference to a service like our remodel project management process or many times, it is a product. There is no better example of a buzz-worthy product than our HE detergent program at Village Home Stores. We have been selling Excelsior HE laundry detergent for nearly ten years. Because we also stock refills of this laundry soap, we get to see our laundry customers when they need more. You would be surprised how often we have someone stop in for a refill only to run into a friend in the store and ask “Do you use this stuff? It lasts forever!” There is no better endorsement than that!
My first box lasted 14 months!
-Heather Seei, Village Home Stores customer
Excelsior is 6x concentrated. That single box shown above holds 5L of detergent which translates to 333 loads! No that is not a typo, we mean three hundred and thirty three loads. It may sound cheesy to say the stuff sells itself but it’s a no-brainer! If you like saving money, protecting your investment in your machine, and hate carrying home a bottle of detergent every other week then this product is for you! Starter boxes are available and come with a bladder full of detergent, a box that can turn into a dispenser, a cup to help you measure liquid for your load, and a free enzyme-powered stain spray for pre-treating tough stains. When you purchase a new washing machine from Village Home Stores you can take $10 off your first box! Once you have that box and are ready for a refill, just come in and purchase a refill bladder and save yourself $10 again!
Does your washer kind of stink? Did you now that using the wrong laundry detergent (or too much of the right ones) can sometimes create odor? When we ask customers to show us how much detergent they use for a full load we find they are waaaaaaaay off! Where do you think that extra detergent goes? HE machines operate using less water and energy and are meant to use and cycle through recommended amounts of HE detergents. Anything more than the recommended amount may not clear out after a cycle and end up someplace inside of your machine. We know this because we also have an award-winning Appliance Service team at Village and they have seen the insides of many washing machines.
How Much HE Detergent Do You Use?
For a full load of laundry in an HE washing machine, you only need to load 1 Tbsp. of Excelsior detergent! Yes one! But does just a Tablespoon for a full load clean my clothes? You bet! There is a lot of power in this concentrated soap plus there is a bleach-free whitener and brighter built into it. Excelsior is an eco-conscious product as well! It is biodegradable and phosphate free! If you are purchasing expensive sensitive skin detergents, you are still purchasing fillers and added chemicals you don’t need. Consider a cleaner, safer option. You don’t have to have an HE machine to use Excelsior! If you are looking to save money on detergent and run a more cleaner product through your existing machine that isn’t an HE model, you can still use this detergent. Just instead add 2 Tbsp. per load.
We told you our customers endorse this product but another opinion you may value is that of our technicians. Remember how we mentioned they have seen the insides of many area washing machines. They also have smelled them. Yuck! The funny thing is, when I texted our service techs to send me a quote about why they recommend the product, they sent me back almost the exact same text. They each mentioned build up is what can make a service call for them pretty stinky and murky.
I recommend Excelsior because there are not all the additives that store-bought soaps have. All those additives plus the soil from your wash cycle build up inside your washer and cause odor.
-Jeff Gerber: Village Service Technician of 17+ Years
Now is the part of this blog post where we should warn you the next images are pretty nasty. Like…. very nasty. One of our technicians offered to send me some photos he had snapped recently at a call. He keeps this photos on hand to show customers what he means by build up. Two was enough to see and I had to beg him to stop sending anymore! So if you have a weak stomach please just scroll past this next image… or pretend it is brownie batter and this is just a fun recipe blog post!
Yeah… we wish that was brownie batter! It’s build-up from excess detergent. Let’s just say you should be thankful you can’t smell your phone or desktop screen right now and get the full effect. It must be noted also that these are not in areas that you can access to clean yourself. These photos were snapped during a service call when one of our techs had the unit opened up for repair. So if you have a service call from Jeff or David and they happen to make small talk about if you use our detergent or not, know that they are just curious what the inside of your machine might look (and smell like). Washing machines are an investment that you hope will last you a long time. Because Excelsior HE detergent has no added fillers, it is the cleanest detergent you can be running through your machine. That is why we don’t just call this a best-selling product but instead we list it on our website as a Servicer Recommended Product!
Yeah But With No Additives… Does it Clean?
Because our team and Excelsior HE detergent believe this is the cleanest detergent out there, they even offer a “No Stinky Washing Machine” guarantee! If you purchase a new washer and only run Excelsior through it they ensure you will never have smelly odors! Just use the Excelsior HE app to register. Once you register you can also qualify for their 30 day Love it/Adore it guarantee! You know what is also pretty amazing? The enzyme stain spray that comes in your starter box. This stuff is great for grass stains, mud, blood, and more! Excelsior Stain Remover spray works with enzymes to removes stains in the wash. Apply two sprays directly to stain, wait 5 minutes then wash as usual.
Pre-Load up to 120 Loads With Load & Go!
If you love the idea of not having to rememeber to buy detergent for many months you are going to love a new feature on some of our Whirlpool and Maytag laundry machines. Truly “set it and forget it” by selecting one of the many new HE washing machines that include the Load&Go system. These cartridges can be pre-loaded with your detergent and your machine pulls exactly the right amount of soap at the perfect time in the cycle. You simply load the detergent and select the concentration level. NOTE: most HE detergents are just 2x concentrated, Excelsior should be set at 6x.
We have many examples of this Load&Go system on the showroom floor we can show you. The team at Village Home Stores sells a wide variety of products. We are happy to stock items like refrigerator water filters, select light bulbs, cleaning products, and more. Partnering with Excelsior detergents allows us to be a local small business source for this great product. We are able to offer it at a very incredible price as a way of thanking our customers for supporting our store and our staff. Have a question about this soap?
