Wall Removal and a Peek At Our Kitchen Remodel Process

Village Home Stores East Moline Quad Cities remodel

This kitchen in East Moline, IL has a whole new look and layout. We removed a dividing wall to make room for more natural light and an island design with counter-height seating. Warm, Rustic Beech Koch Cabinetry in the Seneca door and Briarwood stain has been accented with a Black glaze. The mixed metals of copper, Oil-Rubbed Bronze and Black Stainless look amazing. Plus check out the bright statement with that island accent lighting (more on that later)! We absolutely love how this kitchen turned out.

The original kitchen was very nice, but the layout of the cabinetry was awkward and secluded from the front room. This made it a great candidate for a wall removal remodel. Not every kitchen we remodel needs a wall removed to be incredible. In this home however, having the entire space open now seems like that is what the layout should have been all along. In this kitchen we removed a wall and soffit during the remodel process to achieve that open concept. Take a look at the original soffits and dividing wall between the living room and kitchen shown in the before photo below.

What is The Village Process Like?

If you are looking to remodel your kitchen anytime soon you are in the right place! This blog can be such a useful place to find inspiration and help qualify your own likes and dislikes. We hope that Village Home Stores can be a part of your research process AND your remodel process. Are you just seeking products and ideas and to do the remodel work yourself? That’s great! Village Home Stores can provide you with an expertly prepared design and quality materials for you to DIY to your hearts content. But if you don’t have the time or skill to do that, our start-to-finish Project Management process may be the perfect fit for your timeline and your budget. What do we mean when we say our remodel customers can have us manage their job from “start-to-finish” ? It means that from the very first time you message us online or stop by, we are working for you and with you to get you into your finished space. No matter who is doing the remodel work, your first step is the same: just reach out to our team to schedule a Complementary Consultation.

We schedule these consultations in our showroom before visiting your home so that you can get a better understanding of everything we offer and we are able to walk you through our estimating phases. Most people will only remodel a kitchen or bathroom in a home once or twice in a lifetime. It can be overwhelming to know where to start and what happens next. The great news is that we do this all the time! We are here to help walk you through our process and keep you on track and on budget. We want to help you to enjoy this process as much as possible. During this Consultation we will answer your questions and walk you through when you can expect to see your designs and estimates during our phases and discuss our payment options. We will also ask you some questions about the project, your goals, your budget, and who will be doing the work. There is a reason why budget conversations happen well before we begin estimating the project. This is to help us all stay on task and on track when designing your new space. After this Consultation, we will schedule a date for a Jobsite Visit in your home to gather information for us to begin the design phase.

Sometimes Our Biggest Skeptics Become Our Best Cheerleaders

Do you read every detail of a menu item before ordering at a restaurant? Do you answer “of course” when asked if you want your receipt? Did you already take general dimensions of your kitchen layout for us… on graph paper… and use a ruler? Do you have an engineering degree? Does your Summer Vacation this year have a customized itinerary? Have you started a spreadsheet for your remodel project already in Excel or Google Docs? If you answered yes to any of those questions then wow! You love the details and you respect the process! And guess what? You are going to be a HUGE fan of the Village Home Stores remodel process. We love the look on this type of customer’s face when we present our process checklists and walk them through our current and local budget data for projects like theirs. Some of our most appreciative start-to-finish customers are people who could have even done some of the work themselves. But who has the time or energy? We do!

Village Home Stores uses the latest tech available to record data and communicate with our remodel customers in the Quad Cities Region. That means our start to finish kitchen and bath remodel process changes and adapts every time we complete a job.

Let Us Get To Work For You

There is a lot to be done before you can enjoy your new space and gathering estimates is a big part of that. The truth is there are 3 and a half pages of phases and checklists before we even reach the phrase “Jobsite binder is delivered and job begins” in our process. There are 9 phases of our process and 7 of those happen before we begin demo. We won’t reveal every phase in detail here but we can summarize them a bit. After that Complimentary Consultation in our showroom we will come out to your home to gather information. Then we will get to work preparing a design to be presented to you. Our goal is to ask enough qualifying questions ahead of the design phase that we can present to you initial designs that are successful. We will next discuss any changes needed to the design and begin making product selections in the showroom. During this Design Presentation meeting in the showroom we will also have you meet with other Village team members in any departments you may need products from. During this meeting we will document you selections and help guide you based on our budget conversations. You will also be given private login information at this meeting so that you can begin to access your design, estimates, and eventually contracts and schedules moving forward. Once all of the work to be done is documented by our team, and we have a clear design concept, we can schedule a Contractor Meeting at your home.

All of your subcontractors and a team of Village experts created just for you and your project meet at your home together to prepare accurate estimates.
What sets Village Home Stores apart from other kitchen remodelers? Our process! All of your subcontractors and a team of Village experts created just for you and your project meet at your home together to prepare accurate estimates.

All of the subcontractors we anticipate needing for your project will meet your village designer and our project estimator in your home. All together at the same time. Sounds like an obvious need right? But you would be surprised how rare this is in our industry. At Village Home Stores we believe it is a key element to a successful estimating and end result for all parties involved. Here we can clarify what work is to be completed and included in estimates and allow the subs to have some dialog about the work to be done.

Our start-to-finish Project Management program at Village Home Stores changes and adapts with every project. We have also worked hard to curate a list of reliable, respectful subcontractors who can do quality work for you at a fair price. It has taken some time to get there, but we truly believe we can now say with confidence that our in-house and subcontractor staff are the very best you can ask to work in your home. We are so thankful to continue to get compliments on our staff and the subcontractors we send to our clients’ homes.

What Will An Estimate Include?

But we haven’t mentioned an actual bid or pricing yet? That’s right! We have agreed on a design, selected materials with our experts and your budget in mind, and have detailed estimates for the work to be done and now we can present you an estimate. You will receive a complete estimate along with a detailed inclusion sheet of the work included in that estimate. This estimate will be as accurate as possible before work begins. Of course there can be unforeseeable issues to come up any time you remodel a home. Rest assured that we have a process for that as well. Our crews are used to working together and communicating with you and each other to come up with solutions when problems come up. During your project our team stay customer-focused and solution-focused if issues arise.

Enough about our process! Let us show you around this incredible new kitchen in East Moline, IL. What a warm and open space! This new cabinet layout is packed with great storage and details. Glazzio glass wall tiles in two sizes with an accent listel in an Oil Rubbed Bronze finish cover the kitchen walls. A L-shaped layout with large center island includes plenty of walkway space between the surfaces now that the kitchen wall has been removed. We also removed that kitchen soffit and reworked the ceiling to better compliment the rest of the open areas of the home. The new design truly suits the home perfectly!

With a new flow to the entire space, flooring needed to be a new consistent surface throughout. Once again we are sharing a kitchen with our best-selling COREtec Luxury Vinyl Plank floors here on the blog. Sorry to sound like a broken record repeating itself but this COREtec Plus HD series is extremely durable and waterproof. It has the look and texture of a rustic wood surface. The Barnwood Rustic Pine selected for this kitchen is a great choice to pull from the cabinet stain and accent glaze. We just had two new racks of samples delivered for this product so if you are considering a new flooring surface for your home please come see your options. But can we take a moment please and talk about this lighted island!?!?!

This customer chose to install their Cambria Quartz in the Berkley design in a double-thick edge profile on the island. WOW! When they made that accent choice, the homeowner thought that accenting it even more with some lighting could make for a very cool effect. He was right! The look is pretty stunning day and night. This low-profile low-voltage tape light can be installed in a lot of fun ways. Because it is low-voltage, this island accent light can become the perfect nightlight or glow in the evening while watching TV or spending time out on the wrap-around deck.

The same Diode tape light is also installed underneath and above the kitchen perimeter cabinetry. We even concealed something else underneath the cabinets to keep the look clean. All of the kitchen switches and outlets are located in the recessed area under the wall cabinetry. This keeps the wall tile area smooth and un-interrupted. The Cambria quartz on the kitchen perimeter was installed with a farmhouse hammered copper Sinkology single-well sink and Delta Leland faucet.

This Delta Leland faucet comes with the new ShieldSpray Technology. This diverted spray option delivers a simple way to clean with precision while containing mess and splatter. A concentrated jet of water powers stubborn messes away in the center as a water shield simultaneously contains splatter and clears off the mess. It is like a forcefield around the spray power that keeps water from spraying everywhere. Learn more about ShieldSpray and see it in action here in this short YouTube clip.

Mixing metal finishes and textures can be such a great look in a rustic-styled space. This kitchen includes Oil Rubbed Bronze hardware, lighting, and faucets and a blend of Copper and Stainless. The farmsink is a hammered copper finish and the unique 30″ Zline hood is a mix of smooth copper and black trim. KitchenAid appliances in the Black Stainless finish add drama and a soft texture. If a silvery Stainless seems like it will look too modern in your space, be sure to stop by and see Black Stainless in person! This finish is so versatile and available in a lot of models. We did include on Stainless appliance in the kitchen. Tucked unto the interior corner of the island is a microwave drawer in a true Stainless Steel finish. Mixing metals can be done right and we love the look! Let our team help you with the total vision for your design.

A great kitchen design comes together in the details. Undercabinet molding helps to conceal those lights and outlets. Small details can make a big difference in the look of the overall finished space. In this kitchen the wall tile continues up around the kitchen window and is “capped” off by a valance and matching wooden panel above. The crown molding for the cabinetry has added interest with a change in depth on the corner cabinet.

Geneseo Giving Tree 2018- Weathered Wonderland

We are so excited to be a part of such an active and thriving small business community in Geneseo, Illinois. Our community supports small business and each other so much it’s impossible for the support not to be contagious! We are so thrilled to be involved in a brand new way to give back by participating in the inaugural year of the Geneseo’s Giving Trees! Today our tree is in place at the Village Home Stores showroom at 105 S State Street in downtown Geneseo, IL and we couldn’t be happier with how our team’s vision has come to life with Christmas Magic! This is our Weathered Wonderland Tree now available for auction:

The goal of Geneseo’s Giving Trees is to see businesses partner up to create a tree design that can be auctioned off for proceeds to be given to a local charity. We have partnered up with a crew that we are pretty used to working with, Durian Builders. If you love seeing our before and after remodel stories that we share here on the blog and on our TV show, then you are familiar with their craftsmanship. The partnership between Durian and Village Home Stores was a perfect match and we decided to choose Rebuilding Together Henry County as our charity. We knew we would make a great team but we never dreamed the tree would turn out this great!

The team at Durian Builders decided instead of purchasing a tree… why not make a tree? Well, because that’s not that easy …right? It is if you are a skilled carpenter with vision. We searched all of Pinterest and Scott never found what he had as his own vision… so he sketched it up and went to work with his own idea. When he sent us an update that he had found the perfect stack of reclaimed barnwood to work with, we knew we were on the right track. Geneseo Giving Tree built from barnwood by Durian Builders and decorated by Village Home Stores to benefit Rebuilding Together Henry County. | villagehomestores.com

From that pile of wood, Durian and friends built us a one-of-a-kind Christmas tree that we were certain could stand out as unique. But how to dress it without covering up all of that great character? We decided to take a trend that we have seen take off in Interior Design and Lighting and translate it into Christmas decor. An Upscale, Weathered, Coastal style has branched off of the Farmhouse trend and we thought a Coastal vibe would be a perfect fit for weather barnwood. To light the tree we wrapped copper LED fairy lights around a thick jute rope. Eucalyptus Christmas idea! Take clear lanterns and hang from your tree with small bouquets of greenery. | villagehomestores.com

Of course no tree is a tree without some greenery on it. We kept our greens on trend by using varieties of faux Eucalyptus contained in transparent vessels. Small lanterns hang from five of the branches with small bouquets inside of them. The most talked about part of the decor are our DIY ornaments. We fully grant you permission to steal this idea!
Great eucalyptus ornament DIY idea! Take clear ornaments and fill with faux greenery. | villagehomestores.com

We took a large pile of shatterproof transparent Christmas Bulbs and filled them with sprigs of faux eucalyptus. This would be a super fun and safe DIY Christmas craft for a family to do together. We re-capped them and added a single simple loop ribbon and they are one of our favorite parts of the tree! Pin this and many more ideas to your own Pinterest boards by following our Holiday Decor board here. All of the ornaments hang from brass hooks applied to the tree branches.Burlap Christmas idea! Wrap ornaments in burlap strips for your tree. | villagehomestores.com

As an added stringed element to compliment the lighted rope, we made wooden bead swags. Medium-sized wooden beads strung on jute rope were painted with a white paint distressing finish and then given a subtle brushing of a pearled champagne wash for a little sparkle. Weathered wooded beads are a huge trend right now in home lighting and you should see some of the fixtures we have on display in this category.
Coastal Christmas idea! String and paint wooden beads for your tree. | villagehomestores.com

This tree was created with many neutral colors in mind so that it can be easily placed in any settings. You can always add your own punch of a favorite color or change elements of it year to year. Don’t you think you need this tree in your own home? You can have it! A bid sheet has been placed inside of our store window next to the tree. Opening bids begin Friday November 16th and bids may be placed in $25 increments. Our tree will be on display in the showroom window and available to bid on from November 16th through December 10th. Farmhouse Christmas idea! If you just can’t wait until then to take your tree home, you can take part in the Buy Now option! Any time from November 16th through December 10th you can bid the full $1,000 retail value of our tree to “win” the auction instantly! This “Buy Now” option allows you to take the tree home at any time (even before the 10th). Wouldn’t she look lovely in your home or business?

Please stop by to see us this Holiday season and see it in person. Thank you so much to the Giving Trees committee for putting an idea into action and empowering so many small businesses with a way to give back this year.

Bettendorf, IA- A Gorgeous Gray Galley Kitchen

Many of the homes in the Quad Cities region include a layout commonly referred to as a “Galley Kitchen”. This just means that two parallel sections of cabinets and counters make up the kitchen design. When space is limited, a Galley kitchen layout may be the best solution.
A gray hickory stained Bettendorf, IA galley kitchen designed by Chris Robinson and remodeled completely from start to finish by Village Home Stores. | VillageHomeStores.com

Soffits were removed from the original space and a section of the original wall was removed to create a more open design into the adjacent living room area. Our team including a cabinet designer, electricians, plumbers, carpenters and our project managers worked with these Bettendorf customers to create a more functional kitchen layout while updating the look of the space. New Luxury Vinyl Plank floors from Mannington have been installed in the “Seaport” series and “Surf” color.

In a Galley kitchen layout, it is best to consider maximizing the aisle space between the counters and offering the best storage solutions for the kitchen. Keeping the center aisle space as open as possible helps allow a user to be at an appliance or the kitchen sink and still allow someone to pass behind them. Many times our customers request a large stack of drawers for pots and pans storage in place of a set of doors with slide-out shelves behind them.
Pots an Pans storage in a remodeled Bettendorf, IA kitchen. | VillageHomeStores.com

This makes access to items easier when you are working in the kitchen. The drawer guides for this type of storage are undermounted and installed to accommodate the weight of pots and pans. This kitchen includes a half-wall that has a bar-height countertop that overhangs into the living room. Perfect for adding stools for dining and even leaning against when entertaining. The quartz in this kitchen is from Caesarstone in the “Symphony Grey” design and standard eased edge profile.
half-wall

The refrigerator used to be located down near the doorway into the kitchen. This made the room seem crowded right upon entering it.  A new counter-depth refrigerator is located now closer to the “end” of the kitchen. A “counter-depth” refrigerator just means that the entire unit is shallower than a standard one. A standard refrigerator can extend many inches into the kitchen walkway, this unit sits back with the cabinetry allowing maximum traffic flow. In a Galley layout, that space is valuable! This French Door unit from Whirlpool® is 20 cu. ft. and even includes an external ice/water dispenser.

Including a sit-down desk in a kitchen layout has become a thing of the past. No body wants to miss out on space for storage where a desk seating area may have been. Instead, many who work in the kitchen choose to do so at an island or a bar-height top like the one in this layout. But what about the piles? Every kitchen countertop no matter how large the family ends up with the piles! This kitchen design includes a mail organizer cabinet. A mail organizer is a modification that can be made to a wall cabinet to give a place to sort and store mail, keys, calendars, tablets, coupons, etc. Many times we are even installing an outlet in these cabinets to create a charging station.

Speaking of power, all of the new switches and outlets in the kitchen have been replaced with the Adorne series by legrand. This stylish system is available in a variety of custom options and finishes. Stop in our store today to learn more and see this system in person! The tiled backsplash in this kitchen is a wonderful example of finding a tile that ties all the other finishes together perfectly. The tile is from our Jeffrey Court line in the “Pietra Opus” series and “Winward Plains” color.

Cabinetry for this kitchen design is from our Koch Classic line in the “Savannah” door. A hickory wood has been stained in the warm gray “Stone” finish. The cabinet finish is truly stunning in person! Hickory is the perfect wood to showcase this “Stone” stain. The natural hickory woodgrain is highlighted by the stain and in this home filled with oak trim, it is a perfect compliment. The variation of the wood from panel to panel and even the rails and stiles of the doors is noticeable and beautiful.
angled-base-cabinet

The hardware for this kitchen is another bullseye selection! The “Merrick” series from Jeffrey Alexander is sleek and stylish. It compliments the handle styles of the Whirlpool® appliances but in a new finish. The burnished pewter finish has a hint of stainless but blends into the wood finish perfectly. Helping you create a complete design all the way down to that hardware selection, that is our goal at Village Home Stores. Village can provide you with an expert design and quality materials for your project. If needed, we can also take the project over completely for you. Our Project Management program is in place to help your project go as smoothly and efficiently as possible,

Geneseo, IL- White Kitchen With Matte Black Granite Tops

We are so excited to share this kitchen feature with you because we know that this finished space is a perfect match to many of our reader’s own taste. When the term “Farmhouse” or “Modern Farmhouse” gets used that can truly mean a number of things. Just like any style term, it can mean something different to each person. But when your home has panoramic views of the Midwest countryside plus all of these great farmhouse details we think Modern Farmhouse is just the right fit.

We hope to be able to share this full kitchen story on the Village Home Show sometime soon. And who are we kidding? You came here to see the finished kitchen! For the sake of this blog feature we do want to give you some sense of how far this space has come during the transformation. The original kitchen and dining room spaces were divided by a center wall. The cramped kitchen had cabinetry in a medium wood with dated countertops. Bottom line: the busiest room of the house did not match this family’s lifestyle or reflect their personal tastes. beforesThe complete Project Management program at Village Home Stores is available for those who are ready for not just the expert design and material selection, but our entire proven process. We coordinate everything from the very beginning until the final walk-through. Estimates are prepared in detail based on meetings involving ALL PARTIES. That helps to keep the scheduling and communication as seamless as possible once work begins. This kitchen remodel involved a full team of experts from Village Home Stores along with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, plasterworkers, flooring, and tile installers.duringThe end result is a show-stopping take on the Modern Farmhouse style. Now the kitchen has opened up into a large great room space including a dining room, a desk/bar area, and nearby family room. A long kitchen island provides a versatile space for storage, worksurface, and even dining. Farmhouse painted white kitchen remodeled by Quad Cities kitchen experts Village Home Stores. | VillageHomeStores.com

Natural light pours into the space from the sliding glass doors facing the back of the property. New light oak hardwood flooring has been installed throughout and it is the perfect platform to showcase the new kitchen and furnishings. The floor is from Hallmark Floors in their “Novella” series and “Twain” finish.
hallmark-Novella

The hardwood gives a natural look and feel to the room but without too much wild variation in color from plank to plank. Bright white painted cabinetry from our Koch Classic line has been installed in the “Savannah” doorstyle. The classic, flat-panel door is the perfect choice for any Transitional kitchen space. This door is considered a “reversed center panel” door. That means that this center (flat) section is not thin or flimsy. Instead it is a thick, raised panel reverse-installed to make a very solid, sturdy door. An over-the-counter microwave by Sharp® includes 1100 watts and 1.5 cu. ft. capacity.

Would you believe that a kitchen we are calling “Modern Farmhouse” doesn’t have a farm sink!?! It’s true! We think this kitchen checks all the right boxes without needing one! A Stainless Steel sink has been undermounted to the granite tops and a single drill kitchen faucet with pull-out sprayer has been installed.

The main focal point of the back wall is the new chimney hood area. This 30″ wide Stainless hood extends all the way to the ceiling and so does the beautiful new tile. “Glossy White” Subway Tile from our Soho series in a classic 3″ x 6″ size has been installed throughout the kitchen. Installing the tile within this entire hood area creates a bright, glossy texture and the shape of the tile helps to draw your eye.

As a contrast to the white glossy tile, a matte finished granite has been selected for the kitchen counters. “Black Pearl” granite in the “Brushed” finish almost gives a leather look to the tops. Matte black accents are a huge trend moving into 2017 and in this kitchen that trend is made classic. A standard “Eased” edge has been applied to the granite slabs. Brushed finished granite add a touchable texture and help to soften the look of stone counters.

The center island in the new space boasts a large countertop surface but also a lot of great storage below. Located at the very center of all activity it is the perfect place for pots and pans storage as well as small appliances and items for food prep. The top center drawer has been ordered to include a divided top drawer for flatware and cutlery.

The base cabinets with doors have been fit with adjustable slide-out shelves. These are ideal for storing pots and pans or keeping other containers and dishes with lids organized. Having this kitchen island directly behind the range area creates a wonderful available surface for prep as well as unloading the double oven when needed.

Outlets have also been installed on the end of the kitchen island for easy access for small appliances. These outlets aren’t only there for a mixer or blender…consider this island in your own home. Would you mind setting up your work-from-home office here or a homework station? If you need a device charged or a laptop plugged in the outlet is right there. It is important to note that many kitchen islands have become the center of ALL activity. That includes working for many people. If the island isn’t the right space to work at there is a desk area designated just across the room.

A stack of drawers and counter surface has been dropped down to “desk height” and this workspace is still within eyesight or earshot of anyone working in the kitchen. Two full-height door cabinets and a glass-front beverage cooler complete this wall of cabinetry with a versatile location perfect for entertaining. Setting up this counter as a beverage station will be perfect when guests are over. It will not be in the way of anyone working in the kitchen.  Now a cold drink is just a few steps inside from the patio doors.

The carpentry work for this remodel was completed by the crew at Durian Builders. They teamed up with  Reclaimed Salvage who provided the reclaimed barnwood for these awesome floating shelves. We want to give a special shout out to the homeowner who also took on some projects for this remodel. The family room was given a new wall treatment and the pantry barn doors turned out amazing! We were so thrilled to help make this space better fit this family in function and style. They were wonderful to work with.farm-kitchen-style

East Moline, IL- Wall Removed to Create Multiple Dining Options

We were so thrilled to begin this kitchen remodel in East Moline while we were filming a season of our TV show. It allowed us the opportunity to go beyond just showing you some before photos and then tour the finished space. Instead we were able to really show you the entire process! Here is the finished space including Birch cabinetry from our Koch Classic line in the “Vicksburg” doorstyle. Vicksburg is a full-overlay door with a solid-wood center panel.

The original kitchen (shown below) included dark stained cabinetry in a U-shape layout with a peninsula area of base cabinets and wall cabinetry suspended above. This created a very crowded feel to the kitchen when in it working or entering it from the front door. Laminate countertops with a drop-in sink and white appliances were all a part of the old kitchen that was ready for an update.

Now the new kitchen is open and incredibly stylish! The back wall of the kitchen has been removed and in its place is a bar-height knee wall with an overhang for seating. These 4 barstools are just the beginning of the many dining options this entire open concept now has. Outside of the new kitchen are two front rooms, each ready to be considered a formal Dining Room space. Why designate one room as a dining room when the crowd you entertain changes over time? Now that this couple has children and grandchildren coming for meals, they can fill the entire space with tables and seating if needed!

Tour this kitchen with the before and after story plus everything in between.

What a difference a fresh new layout can make for the entire main level of this home! As youi saw in the episode, we installed new wood floors throughout. Depending on the flooring material and the project itself, your floors may need an extra layer of protection during the remodel process. In the case of this East Moline home a heavy-duty temporary floor protection is used named Ram Board. The Paramount Acacia hardwood flooring is installed and almost immediately after installation the durable floor protecting paper goes over it. kitchen-during-east-moline

The next few weeks of this kitchen floor’s installed lifespan will be it’s most challenged. That is why we take no risks of a scratch or a dent as crews work atop the new floors. We even left this Ram Board in place while filming the kitchen for the show. Once everything is finished and the appliances have been delivered and installed, the Ram Board is removed to reveal your new flooring. Acacia wood flooring from the Quad Cities flooring experts at Village Home Stores. | VillageHomeStores.com

This Acacia is from the Bucks Country series in the “Teak” finish. The flooring finish is a great compliment to the kitchen cabinetry. The darkest areas of the flooring color are a great match to the Birch “Brandy” stain on the cabinets. Our favorite corner of the new kitchen is this lighted glass-door cabinet with wine storage. Remodeled East Moline, IL kitchen including a wine display cabinet. | VillageHomeStores.com

Glass shelves allow the LED lighting to wash the interior of the cabinet with light. A decorative winerack below can house plenty of bottles. Grecian white interlocking marble mosaic tile reflects on the new polished “Black Pearl” granite counters.

In this East Moline, IL kitchen, the finished combination if gorgeous! Rich, polished stone and a Birch wood with a rich Cherry look. The finishes in this now opened space are perfection. East Moline kitchen remodeled by Village Home Stores. | VillageHomeStores.comWith the wall removed and the kitchen opened up into the nearby Dining Room area, the space has plenty of light within it. Opposite the peninsula wall is a large window (show in image above) This natural light teams up with our Diode LED undercabinet lighting system and plenty of new can lights for a bright space day and night. There is plenty of storage in the new kitchen including a tall pantry cabinet next to the refrigerator.Pantry cabinet near refrigerator. | VillageHomeStores.com
