As we mentioned in our previous post, Village Home Stores is growing. In 2017 we have invested in a larger and revised showroom to offer our customers the best customer experience possible for their project with us. Village Home Stores has become the expert destination for Kitchen & Bath design in our region. Now our new showroom space makes it even more fun and exciting to shop for Appliances, Cabinetry, Lighting, and Floorcovering all in one location. 
Our store is committed to being a family-owned and locally-owned business. Our customers have a great appreciation that they can pair our expert service with competitive prices to box stores. That means our customers get competitive prices but don’t sacrifice service before or after the sale. 
This expansion was extensive! We will be posting a full album of photos from the process to our Facebook page over the next few days. We expanded into another storefront adjacent to our current two showroom locations. The first new space happened within our existing cabinetry entrance. That door is now the main door of our showroom. See the tour of that space here on a previous blog post. We have opened up the connecting walls into it and invested in a stylish and welcoming new lighting showroom space of over 1,200 sq. ft. 
What a transformation! With the opportunity to make the space one large design concept, we were able to select materials and products that compliment each other. Textures vary throughout from smooth marble-like quartz to rustic brick-look floor tile. Even our staff is still adjusting to coming around the corner to see this beautiful space. We have already hosted our first team meeting in the new showroom and it was nearly impossible to get over 30 of us to not be distracted by looking around. We were also thrilled that we finally have a space open enough in our store to fit all of our employees at once comfortably. 
We don’t just open an account with any lighting vendor. The products we sell must represent Village Home Stores as much as the brand name on the box. Our new lighting showroom was designed to make it easy to see a fixture and not have it get lost within a group of 30 other similar fixtures. Our vendors and product catalogs represent hundreds of thousands of available fixtures, It is more important to us that you don’t get overwhelmed when selecting. That is why our staff is there to help guide you through what is available for you specific needs. 
We hope this clean and clear display approach paired with our expert staff can make for an easy and fun lighting selection process for any area of your home. Along with lighting, we have installed a full kitchen display and a Master Bath vanity display. We hope these spaces help you to visualize lighting and the full range of products we have available at Village. Our Koch kitchen is a Hickory wood with a Stone stain applied. Viking appliances complete the kitchen. We may be located in a small town but Village Home Stores is home to the largest Viking Range appliance display in the region. 
This same kitchen display includes our Legrand undercabinet system fit with speakers, outlets, iPad, and phone docks. Be sure to stop in to see this interchangeable and fun system in action. We are pretty much in love with the antiqued backsplash tile in this kitchen display as well. No judgement from our staff, artistic mirror tile selfies welcome and encouraged. 
You don’t need to be working on a project to visit our showroom. You may see staff and customers meeting throughout our showroom when you visit. We often set up to meet outside of our private conference areas when discussing finishes or involving multiple departments on a project. We have included a few areas in this new showroom for our builders and customers to meet with our lighting staff comfortably. We love the rustic table base that our friends at Reclaimed Salvage built for our large meeting table with a Cambria Quartz top.
Since 1984, you have shown us that people choose to buy from people. We would love for you to be able to see some of our staff at work so you can have a familiar face once you are ready to work with us. You may overhear Pat bribing a hardware company with homemade cookies for a rushed delivery, or glance at some project renderings over Therese’s shoulder on her monitor.
